Arolite provides the Bingo and Casino divisions of Gala Coral Group with a Central Support Service 24 hours a day 7 days a week all year round, operating as a call management centre for all our catering repairs of all disciplines.

Gala Leisure Ltd was looking to appoint a contractor that could monitor and validate the billing of all our various maintenance contractors used across the estate. The Arolite system gives us the ability to appoint maintenance contractors and to have their service level provision independently monitored to maximise their effectiveness.

We now have a completely accurate picture of what each of our independent contractors is delivering and that allows us to increasingly improve the service levels delivered, which in turn allows us to deliver more to our customers.

The key thing for us is that Arolite are very customer focused and as they continually monitor our costs independently we know the information we use daily is accurate.

For Gala Coral Group, the ability to ensure that the standard of service delivery is totally visible gives us far greater control over the improvement of service levels delivered to our sites.

Arolite are responsible for agreeing the contracted labour and parts rates and we can now be sure, using this system that we are getting what we are paying for. We now have peace of mind that wastage has been reduced dramatically.

Arolite are our refrigeration partners. At the beginning of our relationship they were instrumental in improving the design of our equipment and the way in which it performs to give us first class delivery.

From day one they have, through their unique systems and processes, ensured that, regardless of where our equipment is sited in the UK and Ireland, they have proven to be flexible and customer focused, repairing equipment in the shortest possible time frame and with a greatly increased rate of 1st time fixes.

This level of service has resulted in a number of key benefits, not least of which is the fact that we have been able to constantly supply our quality ice creams to all of our outlets with complete peace of mind, knowing that they will be presented and served correctly at optimum temperature and in optimum condition, thereby protecting both our brand and our image. Service of this level means that we now save a lot of time and expense as it is no longer necessary to 'chase up' maintenance and repairs.

Everybody in the refrigeration industry naturally says that they will give you the best service and then falls short but over the years that I've worked with Arolite they have consistently delivered on their promises and never failed to deliver the most appropriate solution for us, their customer, rather than what suits them.

We've had situations with past suppliers where refrigeration engineers condemning equipment rather than repairing it, but Arolite's engineers always do their utmost and deliver the best solution for us. Our costs for capital equipment are way down since we've been using Arolite, but when we do need to replace rather than repair we know it's definitely needed and we get a very competitive price.

Wherever we have a need up and down the country we get a great response, that doesn't always mean an engineer is dispatched as soon as there's a problem, they'll often talk through the issue on the 'phone with our site and solve the problem that way, saving us money by not having a call out charge but perhaps more importantly getting our equipment back up and running far quicker, thus avoiding very expensive and often detrimental down time of site equipment.

When an engineer is needed, the speed of their response, their ability to achieve a higher rate of fist time fixes and the reduction in replaced equipment can mean the difference between having to bear the cost of a lost freezer, the lost stock and the lost custom.

They are one of the few companies who consistently and accurately monitor the quality of the work completed on our behalf and use a relatively small but highly efficient and professional team who give us good feedback to help us manage our staffs day to day maintenance of equipment.

If asked if I would recommend Arolite, it would be no surprise to hear a resounding yes.
